Percussion Lessons
ABOUT PERCUSSION LESSONS (AGES 7+)
Percussion lessons are scheduled weekly in 30, 45, or 60 minute increments. We accept beginner, intermediate, and advanced students with a wide variety of musical backgrounds. Percussion students will study a range of repertoire, preparing them for performance in band, chamber, and solo settings.
Whatever your focus may be, our percussion teachers will help you achieve your goals!
PERCUSSION LESSONS FOR BEGINNERS
Our teachers love working with beginner level students and have a highly effective, structured approach to teaching students musical skills and techniques.
Beginning percussion lesson students will learn instrumental techniques, tone and other skills specific to their instrument. Students will also learn music theory, note reading, and rhythmic skills.
PERCUSSION LESSONS FOR INTERMEDIATE AND ADVANCED STUDENTS
At the Hudson Music Center, we know how you help students reach their full musical potential. Intermediate and advanced percussion instrument students will refine their musical skills and techniques through learning more challenging music, theoretical approaches, and advanced instrumental techniques.
Whether you are looking to learn a new musical style, prepare for an audition, competition, or performance, we can help get you there!
Our teachers love helping our students dive into topics and genres that they are most interested in from pop, contemporary, classical, jazz, and gospel music.
PERCUSSION LESSONS FOR ADULTS
As an adult student, we know your time is valuable. We make sure our adult students spend their time learning the music they love. Whatever you want to learn on your string instrument, we’re here to help!

Drum Pad

Drum sticks with round heads
Promark Concert 2 or Vic Firth SD1
Bell kit or other mallet instrument
Yamaha Bell Kit Set
